We are bidding a fond farewell to our good friend Dan York, who is moving to Mexico with his wife to pursue his dream of owning and operating a winery!
Dan was born in Monroe, Washington and raised in North Seattle. He started his career in 1979, when he formed his own earthworks company; his focus was on water treatment plants, waste treatment facilities, dams, bridges and commercial buildings. Dan eventually came to work for Bechtel International as a project engineer and Loews Hotel Group as a director of engineers.
With 40 years of experience in the industry, Dan was a natural when it came to managing projects and teams. His best advice for someone pursuing a career in construction management is that they find a mentor who can help them meet their goals and listens to their ideas.
We wish Dan all the best during this new chapter. And Dan, if you're reading this, don't forget to send us a bottle of wine!
