Senior Project Engineer
BOTHELL, WA
The Senior Project Engineer supports our Project Managers and Superintendents, handling daily administrative management and documentation of construction projects. Responsibilities include mentoring and training Project Assistants, reviewing and tracking submittals, requesting supplemental design information, updating design documents, and tracking project costs.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage document receipt and issuance

Administer client contracts and other job initiation paperwork

Manage shop drawings, submittals review and coordination functions
-
Update submittal registry and management functions
-
Manage change orders, answering questions on scope and assisting Project Managers with pricing, submission and tracking

Work with Project Superintendents and Project Managers to establish construction plans and engineering methods

Support Project Superintendents by updating and/or distributing paperwork and information
-
Assist with equipment selection and rental coordination

Assist with the preparation and maintenance of project schedules and costing systems
-
Assist with the preparation and tracking of subcontractor progress payments and estimates
-
Assist with subcontractor administration, defining scope of work, answering inquiries, monitoring progress, and tracking and processing payments

Monitor inventory, keeping track of equipment and resources

Train and mentor Project Assistants

Participate in bid/RFP process
-
Procure materials via accurate quantity take-offs and ensure timely delivery

Prepare and distribute comprehensive meeting minutes

Assemble close-out information including as-builds and warranties
-
Manage RFI, submittal and design documents in Procore
-
Prepare electronic and paper job close out information for meetings in advance

Ensure all job permits are valid and posted on site

Prepare letter of transmittal, logging and monitoring to expedite and track progress

Prepare subcontractor qualification results for Project Managers and follow up with subcontractors

REQUIREMENTS
-
BS in Construction Management or an equivalent field
-
At least 3 years of construction experience
-
Sound judgment and initiative
-
Thorough knowledge of construction methods, materials, tools and equipment
-
Knowledge of principles and practices in organizational planning, coordination and execution
-
Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to read and interpret plans and contract documents
-
Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs and Procore
