Auburn Retail Center

The Auburn Retail Center involved the ground-up construction of a 4,256-square-foot steel frame building with metal stud framing for all exterior and interior walls. The roof was constructed using metal joists with metal decking and an AEP span roof. For added weather protection, R|MILLER installed a complex exterior siding process that consisted of a Vaproshield vapor barrier applied as a “rain screen” under the cementitious wall panels. The Vaproshield application was followed by a unique red Balau wood siding which honored the design intent and finalized the “rain screen” feature. Scope also included complete site work, utilities, a storm drain system, landscaping installation, asphalt, and parking lot striping. During the construction of the new building, the R|MILLER team also installed a new storefront system on the façade of the existing building. The intent was to modernize, upgrade, and allow for more natural light to come through the storefront. Work was completed quickly due to effective coordination with the property manager and with minimum disruption to the existing tenants.
