With the help of R|MILLER, Seattle eatery Art of the Table moved into a larger, more functional location on the ground level of the mixed-use Bowman building in Ballard. The project team was tasked with laying out the restaurant within the constraints of the existing space, with a customized open-space kitchen as the focal point of the dining area. The co-owner and chef provided regular feedback during design and construction to assure the kitchen would be properly showcased. This required extensive coordination on the part of the entire team in order to stay within the proposed timeline. The resulting project is a vision of sophistication and modernity that reflects Art of the Table’s organic roots and locally sourced fare.
